Here are four simple and easy tips for Eco-Friendly Carpet Stain Removal:
If your carpet requires stain cleaning, but you don’t want chemicals and fumes in the house, consider one of the many eco-friendly carpet stain removal options. That are safe, natural, convenient,
effective, and cost-effective.
Tip Number 1: Use Baking Soda
Baking soda is an all-purpose cleaner and an excellent stain remover. Tannin stains from tea and coffee as well can be removed using baking soda. Apply some baking soda on a damp cloth and scrub the
stain. Alternatively, mix baking soda with vinegar or lemon juice and make a thick paste. Apply it on the carpet and leave it on for about ten minutes. Follow this by vacuuming the carpet. This will
not only remove the stain but would also deodorize the carpet.
Tip Number 2: Use White Vinegar
White vinegar is a mild acid and very effective for removal of tough stains from carpet. Vinegar works extremely well on animal urine, mold, and mildew stains on the carpet. Moreover, if you intend
to use it as a deodorizer, fill a spray bottle with vinegar and spray it on the carpet to absorb all odors.
Tip Number 3: Use Lemon Juice
Lemon juice contains a mild bleaching
effect and is very effective on oil and grease stains. For stubborn stains, salt can be added to lemon juice.
Tip Number 4: Use Saliva
This may sound disgusting but applying saliva on fresh blood stains can be effective. Follow with a cold water rinse
